I stumbled across an email from one of my friends which carried this ironic yet so true write-up by Load Macaulay. The email itself asked an individual to ponder about it once read. We may feel a bit evasive after reading this, but the impertinent question that pops out is are we awake?? Is it not going to be another of those emails which would either be forwarded innumerable number of times, or an email that will find its way to bin with epitaph “Rest In peace”; just the way Lord Macaulay must be after achieving what desired by British.
Who would not want to roll back time and live such a high spirited Aryan life our fore-fathers lived?? Don’t we all anticipate having the world look at us the way it did when we were free?? Free from the shackles of slavery, from dependency, from evils and danger (We were indeed strong but not united). We have had great mythological stories like Mahabharata representing values and courage to intelligence from statesman like Aryabhata, from Guru’s like Vivekananda to pacifiers like Mahatma Gandhi. We saw ourselves as nation of farmers in Krishna Rao to pioneers of today in JRD Tata.
Apropos to the cultural, social, technical, economical advances we are witnessing today, surely for tomorrow, can we reincarnate our lost India??
Isn’t this a beginning of a future redefined by India, an India recreated by its people, and people evolved by the strong roots of patriotism, camaraderie, and dare to dream the yet so un-deterministic but blessed future??
Think, the answer lies within each one of us.
