‘All’s in a name – Scarlett Killing’

Apropos to the news of Scarlett Keeling’s rape and murder, it is a shame for a nation of billions that boasts itself of democracy and respect for women in form of goddesses. Incidents like these do send jitters in one’s throat, but there is no adrenalin rush to show admiration towards protectors of law, who rough-handle it like a child’s toy. The ever consoling government wants to set up measures to promote tourism and show a great cultural heritage to the rest of the world, but on expense of whom?? You’ve heard the answer, foreigners, coined as “Atithi Devo Bhava”.
This was not the fate Scarlett supposed to meet, the tormenting wandering her mother Fiona MacKeownanticipated to see, and the nation wanted to achieve. It is high time for government to stand up and take action against people involved/guilty before things, instead of falling in place become uncontrollable and even throw trust of humans into a deep black crevasse. Protectors of law must realize the adage, ‘Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!!’ We’ve had cases like Jessica Lal, Priyadarshini Mattoo, & Vijay Katara which sets the examples to learn from the past and carve out a better future. As said, ‘Justice delayed is justice denied’. We’ve already seen that happening in the past but this need to be brought to an end now. What could relatives/people achieve fighting endlessly for their dead beloved?? Nothing, except agony, sadness, mockery by the law enforcers & fight to make the sound hit on deaf ears. But nobody would like Fiona to go through the torture again.
I request the Indian government through this letter, to stand for the cause and fight for justice to the foreign national as this is the least it can do for a warrior mother who’s already lost the battle against life to protect her daughter. Please help.
